The White House is organizing Música Latina: In Performance at the White House within the framework of the Hispanic Heritage Month. The event aims to showcase the influence and richly diverse culture of the Latino communities throughout the country. Alejandro Sanz, unquestionably one of the most international Latin artists, has been invited to take part in the celebrations.
President Barack Obama and his wife will be the hosts of this musical ceremony. The concert will be broadcast by PBS stations nationwide on October 8 and also by the American Forces Network to members of the US Armed Forces around the world.
Alejandro Sanz shared the good news on his Twitter account: "I’m so excited to be one of the artists invited to Música Latina: In Performance at the White House and to be taking part in this amazing celebration of Latin music."
Música Latina will be the 12th In Performance at the White House program. Previous performances have honored musical genius including Stevie Wonder, Paul McCartney, Carole King, Mick Jagger, and B.B. King, among others.
